Dworek w Bielinach: Visitor guide to a historic manor and its park
A visitor guide app for the historic manor house in Bieliny, its park and the area around it. We designed and built the React Native app and its Strapi backend for the culture centre of the Ulanów municipality in Poland, between November 2023 and March 2024, on a tight budget from external funding.

01 · Business context
The problem
The Ulanów municipality was renovating the manor and park in Bieliny to widen its cultural offer. The culture centre wanted visitors to be able to explore the place on their own.
The guide was part of that project: a mobile app about the manor, the park and the area nearby, with server software behind it. It had to work for everyone from casual tourists to history enthusiasts, and help them find every place worth seeing.
The money came from external funding, so the work had to stay strictly within the budget.

Gminne Centrum Kultury Ulanów
A public institution that promotes culture in the Ulanów municipality and its county.
The municipality ordered the guide as part of its project to renovate the manor and park in Bieliny.
02 · Key features
What we built
We designed the app and built it in React Native with Expo, with a Strapi backend for editing the content. The team was a UX/UI designer, two front-end developers and a back-end developer. These are its most important features.

Attractions by category
A list of the places worth seeing in the manor complex, grouped by category, such as architecture, nature or places for the whole family.

Attraction pages
Each attraction has a description, photos with their authors credited, tags and a static map.

Events calendar
An editable calendar of upcoming cultural events, each with its place and time.

Content in Strapi
Attractions, categories and events can be added and changed in the Strapi admin panel, without a new release of the app.
