The problem
Every day, millions of visually impaired people find their way through a world full of obstacles.
Our client came to us needing an app that would work seamlessly with NaviWay Stickers, audio-visual markers and geo zones, so that users get real-time guidance and information about their surroundings.

A technology company that, among other things, develops intelligent accessibility solutions. Seeing the limits of existing navigation tools for the visually impaired, Gallium set out to build a holistic system that combines several technologies into seamless, reliable navigation support.

Chapter one · 2021
GMark
Our first app for Gallium. It uses Bluetooth to activate GMark indicators, which tell blind and visually impaired people where they are with sound and light messages. Two developers built it for Android and iOS in about 1.5 months, and it launched in May 2021.

Chapter two · 2024
NaviWay
Gallium came back to us for a second, enhanced version of the app. It became NaviWay, launched on the App Store and Google Play in August 2024.
02 · Key features
What we built
NaviWay is Gallium's system: the graphic NaviWay Stickers, the sound and light markers and the geo zones are theirs. We built the mobile app at its centre, a Flutter app for iOS and Android. These are its most important features.

Easy to use
The app is free to download and asks for no personal information and no account, which makes it simple and accessible for everyone.

NaviWay combines the app with sound and light markers, graphic NaviWay Stickers and geo zones into an intuitive, multisensory navigation system with real-time audio guidance.

Smart graphic markers
NaviWay Stickers can be detected from different angles and distances, so scanning is more flexible and accessible.

Integration with assistive technologies
Full compatibility with VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android makes the app accessible to every user.
03 · Results
What changed
Together with Gallium we delivered a fully functional app that lets people navigate their environment with confidence. We are proud to have taken part in such an important project.
NaviWay's achievements
- 2,000+ points marked with NaviWay, Gallium says, at sites including Galeria Krakowska, Sadyba Best Mall in Warsaw, Gdynia City Hall, the University of Physical Culture in Kraków and the Polish Association of the Blind's HOMER centre in Bydgoszcz.
- Chosen as the technology for presenting the exhibition at the Polish Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka.
- Winner of the Audience Award at the 2024 Accessibility Forum in Poznań.
- The NaviWay team placed 5th in the 2025 “50 Most Creative in Business” ranking.
- Nominated for the 2024 Mobile Trends Awards in the Start-Up category.
- Featured in the weekend edition of Teleexpress and in an article in Puls Biznesu.
